Dear Friends/Family/Clients/Colleagues,
The Homick Consulting/Homick Labs team would like to extend it sincerest thanks and appreciation to you for helping us succeed like we never imagined possible. We are very excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead and are looking forward to them readily.
When I started Homick Consulting, I did not have a clear vision for where we were going to end up. Instead of a 50 page business plan, I had a simple core tenet: build a talented team that you enjoy working with. Greg and Roland were the first two to join and we focused on mobile development building expertise in all three major mobile platforms. Together, we proved very adept at working on the latest technologies exceeding client expectations each time we built a new app. In mid 2010, we were offered a great opportunity for our first office space from Avvasi allowing us to grow our team but still keep costs in check. In the final third of 2010, we added our first coop student, Scott and a full timer, Marc. The team continued to excel and built apps that would prove wildly successful. We also started building SwiftMint, our in-app purchasing platform which eventually became the core product for Homick Labs. By March 2010, we began the process of moving into the Communitech Hub to access mentorship programs, training, and other valuable resources. We also grew again, adding Dale and Corey to round out our talented roster. And now, just 4 months later, we are very excited to be announcing our graduation.
We will look back at our time at Homick Consulting/Homick Labs fondly. We were able to work with the great technologies building fun apps for fantastic clients. Getting to do that while working with your friends makes it especially sweet.
We would like to thank everyone for helping us along the way. There were numerous people who gave their time, energy, support, ideas, or advice. We can't begin to repay you directly, so we will do it the only way we know how: by paying it forward to the next startups to come and offering our sincerest thanks to each and everyone one of you.
Sincerely,
Duane Homick
